Watch Tom at the Bay Area Young Democrats Statewide Candidates Forum on Saturday, Feb. 6
I am going full-speed ahead to fight for our kids and to talk with Californians about the need to reinvest in our education system. I believe the public schools in every neighborhood should be safe and provide a high quality education. Parents should not have to shop around for schools in other areas. Education is--and must be--a local, neighborhood priority.
On Saturday, February 6, I will be participating in the California Young Democrats Bay Area Statewide Candidates Forum. The entire forum runs from 1-4 p.m. at SEIU Local 87, 240 Golden Gate Ave, San Francisco. I expect to be speaking from around 2:15-2:35 p.m. If you are unable to attend in person, you can watch on-line by clicking here. More information about the forum is available here.
I am also pleased to report that my campaign has the most cash-on-hand as of the latest campaign finance reporting period, which ended on December 31. I know I will win if I have the resources required to tell Californians about my real reform message--and how I will bring my first-hand experience as a public school teacher and high school coach into the State Superintendent's office. I will be launching a new web site later this month to help me explain my agenda and some of the steps I plan to take to help every one of our students succeed.
Can you help me today by making a donation of $10, $25, or $100? Every donation, regardless of size, will help my team continue our important work. If you haven't already done so, you can also endorse me or volunteer for my campaign.
I look forward to working with you on behalf of our state's children. I will not rest until our schools rise once again to rank among the very best in the nation.
Best regards,
